Features:
- NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT GPU (8 pixel and 3 vertex pipelines), 500 MHz clock;
- 128MB GDDR3 in BGA package; 500 (100) MHz max. clock rate.
- 128-bit bus;
- Peak fill rate in the multitexturing mode without optimizations is 4000 megapixels/sec and 4000 megatexels/sec.
By the end of the month the product costs $160-180, supports DirectX 9.0c (shaders 3.0).
We started testing this mid-end novelty early in September 2004.
This $170 product successfully outperforms the previous-generation high-end cards.
