By the end of the month the product costs $140-150 on average, supports DirectX 9.0. Fills the narrowing gap between RADEON 9600XT and RADEON 9800 PRO. Its future is unclear.
AGP x8/x4/x2, 128MB DDR SDRAM in 8 Hynix chips. 2.8ns indicate 350 (700) MHz, but the memory operates at 340 (680) MHz. 256-bit bus. 4 rendering pipelines (not 8!).
On August 10, 2004 the latest drivers from ATI were 6.467 (CATALYST 4.8 WHQL Release) and 6.476 (CATALYST 4.9 beta) for Windows XP.
