Soltek 85DR-C (i845D) Mainboard
|
This board has two versions: the first has BIOS
based on the Modular 6.00PG from Award, the other - on the AMI 2.01.
We have the first version which contains a wide range of settings
and Red Storm Overclocking and SmartDoc Anti-Burn Shield technologies.
Accessories:
- Package: an ordinary design for this company;
- Documentation: a user manual and a software guide - in English;
- Cables: 1 ATA66/100 and 1 FDD;
- Additional thermistor;
- 2 CDs with software including:
- drivers;
- user manual in PDF for various boards;
- several system monitoring program;
- program for changing a FSB frequency from Windows;
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0;
- Trend Micro PC-Cillin 2000;
- Farstone Virtual Drive 6.01;
- PowerQuest PartitionMagic 6.0;
- PowerQuest Drive Image 4.0.
The layout has some disadvantages: IDE connectors
are placed behind PCI slots (which makes difficult to handle them
and worsens ventilation), and audio-ins are in front of these slots.
However, the components are so crowded because the board is just
21 cm wide. There are two connectors for +12V for old power supply
units which do not comply with the ATX 2.03 specification. A special
plate is mounted onto the back side of the board to prevent troubles
caused by massive coolers.
The feed circuits incorporate 9 capacitors of 2200
uF and 4 of 1500 uF.
There are the following controllers: AC'97 codec
ALC201A from Avance Logic (audio solution) - the chip supports SPDIF,
but the respective connector is lacking; I/O controller W83637HF-AW
from Winbond (which supports interfaces of Memory Stick and Secure
Digital Card Readers for which there are connectors onboard).
There are no any non-unsoldered connectors.
Brief characteristics of the board: memory
slots - 2 DDR SDRAM; expansion slots - AGP/ 6 PCI/ CNR; I/O ports
- 2 COM/ LPT/ 2 PS/2/ 4 USB (though the chipset supports 6); dimensions
- 305x210 mm.
