Against the dazzling AT7 this product looks quite modest. But exactly the fact that the former is so unusual the company released one more KT333 based board because such models sell much better than delicatessen. The PCB of the KX7-333R hasn't changed as compared with the KT266A based solutions. Accessories:
The layout has almost no flaws - the only inconvenience is that the IDE RAID and FDD connectors are behind the PCI slots. It's not difficult to reach jumpers and switches even when the board is already installed. Their functions are shown on the textolite. The 3-channel switching voltage regulator incorporates 2 capacitors of 4700 uF and 5 of 2200 uF (excellent). The following controllers are integrated:
An audio controller is lacking (even an AC'97 codec). Non-unsoldered connectors: USB3 connector. The system monitoring is supported by the Winbond W83697HF chip. What is controlled:
There are 2 connectors for adjustable connection of fans and 3 for non-adjustable connection (one is for a fan on a heatsink of the chipset's north bridge). Brief characteristics of the board: memory slots - 4 DDR SDRAM; expansion slots - AGP/ 6 PCI; I/O ports - 2 COM/ LPT/ 2 PS/2/ 4 USB 1.1; dimensions - 305x245 mm. Adjustment can be carried out with:
We used the latest available version of the BIOS - 7M. This is a standard Abit's product with rich overclocking possibilities, moderate functionality and a lacking audio controller. Test results: Write a comment below. No registration needed!
