Operation of the cards in games.

Let's compare efficiency of professional cards in games with their junior competitors. I chose two games - Return To Castle Wolfenstein from id software and Serious Sam 2 from Croteam. The games work under the OpenGL which allows us to estimate performance of the contestants in this API.

Here are the test results:

As expected, the most powerful game card takes a lead. The Wildcat II 5000 reminds you that this card is not entertaining.

Well, in this game this kitten refused to work at all, and if in low resolutions it made some attempts, in the higher ones it failed to work and even made the system hung. The other cards perform almost equally in both games. It's just interesting that the GeForce4 4600 performs better in higher resolutions than its competitors. Besides, the Athlon XP looks better for games than the Pentium 4.
