Perfomance boost due to replacing Athlon 700 MHz with 1 GHz CPU is
noticeable on the most powerful videocards only. All others do not show
any speed improvements. The following statements are worthy of separate
notes:
- 3dfx Voodoo5 5500 shows noticeable perfomance boost after CPU change;
- A number of cards show paradoxical perfomance decrease (though insignificant)
after replacing Athlon 700 MHz with 1 GHz. This may be cause of 'raw'
VIA drivers and 'raw' BIOSes of VIA KT133-based motherboards.
