CeBIT 2002: Day 4 / Part 3
|
Tablet computers were a favorite subject on the
display. For example, MSI unveiled its MS-2830 Web Pad. The device
is based on the VIA Eden processor working at 533 MHz (x86 architecture)
and is controlled by the WinCE 3.0. The screen is of 800x600 pixels;
a 10" matrix, 65K, touch type. An interesting solution, but it will
hardly be widely available.
Fujitsu-Siemens showed some similar tablets - a famous SIMPad SL4 and
other new samples.
This is a Philips' device called Mira.
A new case from Samsonite will excellently suit notebooks and tablets;
it has an external output for power supply so that it can be possible to
charge without opening the case.
The following case is designed for presentations. It has a large screen
on its outer side which can display images from a notebook; built-in speakers
are provided.
ADSTech developed a Usb Instant DVD which allows playing DVD discs almost
on any PC equipped with a USB connector. The device is available at 120
euros.
