The delivery-pack: Retail. Complete set:
ATIP CD-RW of the disc:
ATIP: 97m 22s 60f Disc Manufacturer: Acer Media Technology, Inc. Assumed Dye type: Cyanine (Type 0) Media type: CD-ReWritable Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. 4X nominal Capacity: 656.20MB (74m 41s 50f / LBA: 335975) A little strange, why the manufacturer hasn't provide with IDE-connector. It seems that Acer CRW-8432IA and ASUSTeK CRW-0804F do not differ much, Windows 98 identifies Acer just the same as ASUSTeK. But for one thing: the drive "was called" ATAPI, not IDE. Acer CRW-8432IA is a brief modification of CRW-8432A, which carries 4 times larger buffer - 8192 Kb. Beside Nero, the CD contains Acrobat Reader 4.0, user's manual on Nero program in pdf format (in 6 languages), user's manuals of Acer internal CD-RW drive and Acer external USB CD-RW drive. It's strange that on the pack we have found that advisable memory size should be 64 MBytes, and user's manual says that Pentium 133 and 16 MBytes RAM would be enough Both Acer CRW-8432IA and ASUSTeK recorders have similar nonordinary design. Who stole the design is unclear, but we like ASUS CRW-0804F more that Acer. The drive is not so light as ASUS. The distinguishing feature of both recorders is a cooler on the rear panel. The front panel includes: headphones jack (6), mechanical volume control (5) (there is CRW-8432IA modification with digital volume control), round open button (1), two indicators (4,3), emergency ejection hole (7). The tray should go out smoother. But it's snug against the case properly, so there is no much noise and vibration. On the rear panel there is a digital output. Write a comment below.
