OPPO Unveils Its Find 5 Flagship Smartphone

Now here is a smartphone that you might want to check out in greater detail if you are all for Full HD displays on your primary, day-to-day communications device – the OPPO Find 5 that hails from China, with specifications which are more than enough to make sure its Taiwanese and South Korean rivals sit up and take serious notice.

The OPPO Find 5 will come with a 5" display having 441ppi pixel density that sports Full HD resolution – keeping up with the Joneses in a sense, coupled with a rather nifty 13-megapixel HDR camera among others. Thanks to OGS technology which merges touch sensors with display, colors are said to be more vivid and lifelike, and you would feel as though the screen contents are floating right on its surface.

The OPPO Find 5 is not hard to hold, courtesy of its slim 3.25mm bezel. Whenever the display is turned off, the front ends up as a borderless sheet of pure black, tipping the scale at just 6.3 grams for the front frame.

The OPPO Find 5 will also come with 1/3.06-type 13-megapixel camera sensor, boasting market-leading Stacked CMOS technology, while delivering an f/2.2 aperture, 4-layer coating and blue glass filters. In front lies a 1.9-megapixel shooter.

In general, the specifications include:

  • Network: UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA/HSPA+/HSPA+42 (850, 1700, 1900, 2100MHz), GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz)
  • Processor: Qualcomm APQ8064 Quad-Core 1.5GHz
  • Display: 5.0” 1080P 441PPI IPS (1,080x1920)
  • Memory: 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM
  • Camera: Main: 13 megapixel Stacked CMOS sensor with HDR, Front: 1.9 megapixel, 120 FPS video recording, f/2.2 aperture, blue glass filters
  • Connectivity: 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi (802.11n 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, NFC
  • Features: Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), GPS, Wi-Fi Display, DLNA, Gyroscope, Digital compass, Microphone, Sensors (light, proximity, magnetic and gravity)
  • Battery: 2500 mAh built-in lithium-ion battery

OPPO Find 5 is set to launch in early 2013 across selected markets.
