Computex 2011: ASUS Showcases Motherboard With LGA 2011, 1366 Sockets
Aside from other novelties, ASUS is showcasing at Computex 2011 a motherboard concept dubbed "Project Danshui Bay" that features two CPU sockets at once: LGA 2011 and 1366.
It's not clear why these two were chosen, as they could provide two LGA 1155 or LGA 2011 sockets instead. Maybe they just wanted to attract attention to another motherboard, C1X79 EVO, designed for Sandy Bridge-E processors.
Anyway, the concept is quite large and, aside from the two sockets, has as many as 14 memory sockets and 22 SATA ports (!).
No other information has been disclosed, so perhaps Project Danshui Bay will go straight to company's museum after the expo.
