NVIDIA To Unveil GeForce GTX 560 Next Week
To add some fuel to marketing fire, NVIDIA officially confirmed that GeForce GTX 560 will be unveiled on May 17.
Although the company hasn't disclosed any specifications, they are rumored to be as follows. 336 CUDA cores, 56 texture units, 1GB GDDR5, 256-bit bus. And the MSRP of about $200.
In other words, GeForce TX 560 should fit between GeForce GTX 460 and GeForce GTX 560 Ti (which is sort of obvious).
To help you understand how the novelty will performm the company provided a video sneak peek you can watch below. It demonstrates gameplay in Duke Nukem Forever (will it finally be released?), Alice: Madness Returns and Dungeon Siege III.
The testbed was based on the ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution motherboard, Intel Core i7-2600K processor (3.4 GHz), 8GB DDR3-1333 (timings 9-9-9-24), and Windows 7 64-bit.
The company also published a preview which we'll summarize to save you time: compared to GeForce 9800 GT (released in 2008) the novelty is undoubtedly faster.
