Innovision Presents Largest Glasses-Free 3D Screen
At Display 2011 exposition, Innovision presented a 70-inch display capable of producing stereoscopic content that can be watched without special glasses. One important advantage is that the display is dead-zone-free.
The company also showcased a display capable of producing both 2D and 3D content simultaneously. It's interesting that the screen can be rotated from landscape to portrait and the image remains stereoscopic.
On a side note, a similar solution was unveiled yesterday by Toshiba: dynabook Qosmio T851/D8CR, its first glasses-free 3D notebook able to display 3D and 2D content at the same time on one screen.
