Gigabyte Releases GA-6UASL3 microATX Server Board Based On Intel C202
Gigabyte introduced its new GA-6UASL3 server motherboard based on the Intel C202 chipset designed for Intel Xeon CPUs of the Sandy Bridge architecture.
The novelty offers higher performance (up to 25% more) at lower power consumption. In particular, the Intel Xeon E3-1200 lineup has models with 45W and 20W TDP (E3-1260L and E3-1220L).
As stated in the title, Gigabyte GA-6UASL3 is a microATX board. It has four DDR3-1333 slots for up to 32GB of unbuffered RAM with ECC, and 6 SATA-II ports supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 10.
Also onboard is the XGI Volari Z9s graphics chip, PCI Express x16, x8, x4 slots (one of each) and a PCI slot as well. The back panel has six USB 2.0 ports and two RJ-45 sockets connected to two Intel 82574L Gigabit Ethernet controllers. Finally, there's one VGA and one COM port.
