Intel To Roll Out Its 6th Chipset Series In Q1'11
Intel is preparing the next desktop core logic series that will feature Q67, Q65, B65, H67 and P67 chipsets. According to the source, this series will debut in Q1'11. Consumers should mostly pay attention to H67 and P67 solutions at that.
The source also claims that Intel is going to simplify its marketing arsenal used to promote CPUs. Multiple motherboard packaging logos indicating compatibility with Core i3, i5, i7 processors will be replaced by a single logo indicating general compatibility with Intel Core CPU. The new markings will be adopted in Q3'10.
The Core i7 logo will remain, meaning compatibility with Core i7 Extreme Edition CPUs.
