BenQ Reveals New Ultra-Quiet MP513 DLP Projectors for Home Entertainment, School, SOHO
BenQ announced today the expansion of its Mainstream Series DLP projectors with the addition of the new MP513 (SVGA) model. It is highlighted by all-digital image processing, smart user-friendly features and super-quiet operation for versatile application in school, home and small corporate settings.
With the use of Texas Instruments' Digital Light Processing (DLP) chip technology, the MP513 employs a sealed optical engine that eliminates the need for filters, simplifying maintenance and avoiding problems associated with blocked filters. The MP513 also uses BenQ's 6-segment Golden Ratio color wheel and BrilliantColor, which boosts brightness up to 50% while amplifying mid-tone hues. Users can customize color preference with proprietary 3D Color Management for independent adjustment of hue, saturation and intensity of all six color wheel tones – red, green, blue, cyan, white and yellow.
At that, the new projector produces noise of 26/31dB (Eco/Norm modes).
As for features, they include Closed Caption option for those with hearing concerns, learning a new language, or for noisy environments; HDTV compatibility up to 1080i; high 2500:1 contrast ratio; 2500 ANSI lumens brightness.
A suite of features tailored to teachers, administrators and busy professionals include Presentation Timer, Quick Auto Search, 30-second Quick Cooling, Panel Key Lock, Security Password and OnScreen FAQ -- all which allow users to focus on presentation instead of fumbling with setup. Wall Color Correction and 11 preset picture modes ensure optimized color and image quality.
The MP513 will be available worldwide August, through retailers, online dealers and IT resellers.
