NVIDIA Officially Announces GeForce 9800 GTX+, 9800 GT and 9500 GT GPUs
Along with announcements of new graphics cards based on new GPUs came the official press release from NVIDIA.
The newly announced GeForce 9800 GTX+, 9800 GT and 9500 GT can all be used in NVIDIA SLI configurations. According to NVIDIA, these novelties bring support for PhysX and CUDA to the mainstream PC market. The company claims that most affordable solutions will cost less than 100 USD.
Key specs of GeForce 9800 GTX+:
- Unified processors: 128;
- Core/shader/memory clock rates: 738/1836/1100 MHz;
- Memory: 512 MB GDDR3, 256-bit bus.
Key specs of GeForce 9800 GT:
- Unified processors: 112;
- Core/shader/memory clock rates: 600/1500/900 MHz;
- Memory: 512 MB GDDR3, 256-bit bus.
Key specs of GeForce 9500 GT:
- Unified processors: 32;
- Core/shader/memory clock rates: 550/1400/800 (GDDR3) or 500 (DDR2) MHz;
- Memory: 256/512 MB GDDR3 or 512 MB DDR2, 128-bit bus.
According to NVIDIA, cards on new GPUs are already being shipped by ASUS, BFG, Colorful, Emtek, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Innovision, Leadtek, MSI, Palit, PC Partner/Zotac, PNY, Point of View, Unika, Unitek and XFX.
