Asetek Readies Liquid Cooling Solution for ATI Radeon HD 4870
Before AMD had time to officially announce its new graphics card series, Asetek had already introduced its liquid cooling solution for ATI Radeon HD 4870, primarily aimed at system builders.
As you know, a standard cooler for ATI Radeon HD 4870 is rather large and such cards occupy two enclosure slots. In its turn, the water block reduces card's total dimensions allowing to install more ATI Radeon HD 4870 cards in neighbouring slots.
Besides, being more effective than a standard cooler, Asetek's solution provides more overclocking freedom. According to Asetek, its water block allows to reduce GPU temperature by 26 degrees.
While the water block is naturally silent, the system heat exchanger fan typically runs at 30 dB(A).
Just to remind you, the company has recently announced an LCLC solution for NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 200 series.
