Smart Modular Introduces Industrial-Grade SD Memory Cards

SMART Modular Technologies released a new line of industrial-grade secure digital (SD) memory cards. SMART’s industrial SD memory cards have been optimized to withstand adverse conditions and extreme temperatures when used in a variety of applications such as those in the networking, telecommunications, embedded computing, mobile, and automotive markets.

Featuring a capacity range of 256MB to 2GB, SMART's industrial SD memory cards are manufactured using an injection-molded process that makes the SD memory card significantly more robust and better suited for use in the more demanding industrial environment than a standard SD memory card. These RoHS-compliant devices are also compliant with the Secure Digital Specifications Version 1.1 and 1.0.1 and function across the full industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
