MSI Unveils S430 Dual-Core Theater-Class Notebook
MSI introduced a new 14" notebook featuring the AMD Turion 64 X2 architecture, the S430. The Turion 64 X2 is AMD's latest 64-bit dual-core platform, which fully supports all 64-bit software applications, including Vista, Microsoft's next-generation OS.
The S430 also features NVDIA GeForce Go 6100 graphics, up to 2GB DDR2, a 5400 RPM hard drive.
Also there is MSI's exclusive ACS (Advanced Cooling System) that enhances dissipation of heat inside the chassis by physically exchanging heat. When further coupled with ventilation holes and heat exchange conduction medium, ACS is capable of maintaining low operating temperature for extended operation.
The S430 uses an ultra bright and high-precision mirror-like display with the 16:10 aspect ratio and supports the DualView dual-screen configurations. DualView supports video output to both the LCD screen and another externally connected display device such as projector or monitor.
Speaking of networking capabilities, the S430 features dual 802.11 b/g wireless adapters, Bluetooth.
Finally, certain models also offer built-in digital TV tuners. All you have to do is connect a DTV antenna and you can start watching digital TV programs right away. The S430 also comes with infrared wireless remote control and DTV software.
