Apacer Introduces Rotating USB Hub
Apacer Technology Inc. has just released the PH150 Magic USB hub, an innovative 4-port USB 2.0 solution with two rotatable ports that gives users more freedom to connect devices. Made of durable aluminum alloy, two of its four USB ports rotate 90 or 180 degrees, letting larger, bulkier USB devices connect from different directions.
Backwards compatible with USB 1.1 specification, the PH150 provides up to 480 Mbps transfer rate. Although the PH150 can be used most of the time without need of an external power source, an optional power adapter is available for USB devices that consume more power, such as CD-ROM/CD burners, external hard drives and printers. Over-current detection and protection is provided that limits the amount of current a USB peripheral can draw, which helps prevent system crashes and increases PC system stability. The PH150 is also plug-and-play compatible and supports hot-swapping function.
The PH150 is small enough to take along. Its tough aluminum alloy construction makes it a solid, yet light device that can handle the punishment of everyday use.
