VIA Launches Ultra Low Power VIA EPIA CN Mini-ITX Mainboard

VIA Technologies today announced the VIA EPIA CN-Series Mini-ITX mainboards, the latest in the range of VIA C7 processor-based ultra compact platforms with an average power consumption of just 16 watts.

The new motherboard supports the power efficient VIA C7 processor at speeds of 1GHz or 1.3GHz, features along with the VIA CN700 digital media chipset integrating the VIA UniChrome Pro 2D/3D graphics with hardware MPEG-2 acceleration, dual monitor support, VIA Vinyl Multi-channel Audio, a PCI legacy port, support for up to 1GB of DDR2 400/533MHz memory and SATA II RAID.
