Seagate Introduces 750GB External Hard Drive
After the announcement of the new 750GB internal 3.5" HDD, Seagate Technology also introduced the external 750GB Pushbutton Back-up Hard Drive.
The novelty includes easy-to-use backup software that protects your system and data files with a simple touch of a button on the drive. The Pushbutton Back-up Hard Drive also includes USB 2.0 and Firewire 1394 connections and sports a sleek design incorporating a sturdy, non-slip stand for vertical desktop placement plus the ability to stack multiple drives on top of one another, creating a massive, multi-terabyte desktop storage system in approximately a 7 by 7 inch footprint.
As already mentioned, The 750GB Pushbutton Back-up Hard Drive uses Seagate's perpendicular recording technology and is based on the newly announced Barracuda 7200.10 family, with data density of up to 188 gigabytes per plate.
The Seagate 750GB Pushbutton Back-up Hard Drive will be available May 2006 and will retail for $559.
