Dell Unleashes New Mobile Workstations: Precision M90, M65

Besides D620 and D820, Dell today unveiled its next-generation mobile workstations - the Dell Precision M90 and Dell Precision M65. Novelties feature up to 512MB NVIDIA Quadro FX OpenGL graphics, Intel Core Duo processors, up to 17-inch wide-aspect displays and certification on some of the workstation industry's most compute-intensive applications.

Dell Precision M90 features also include:

  • 2MB L2 cache and a fast 667MHz front side bus
  • Up to 4GB1 of high speed DDR2 memory
  • 667MHz memory interface to speed the transfer of data
  • Bright displays up to WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution
  • On-board IEEE 1394, three-button touch pad, and DVI and SVGA video outputs
  • TPM 1.2 support

Dell Precision M65 features include:

  • 15.4-inch wide-aspect display
  • Optional embedded mobile broadband capability
  • Biometric fingerprint reader
  • 2MB L2 cache and a fast 667MHz front side bus
  • Up to 4GB1 of high speed DDR2 memory
  • 667MHz memory interface to speed the transfer of data
  • Up to 512MB shared graphics memory with NVIDIA QuadroFX 350M Turbocache
  • 128-bit graphics pipeline and 128-bit graphics memory interface
  • TPM 1.2 support
  • Optional dual batteries for extended battery life

Both new models feature a solid magnesium alloy exoskeleton, and the display bezel design helps minimize screen marking. Sealed spill resistant keyboards, full-time hard drive protection with StrikeZone, and steel reinforced security slots are included standard on all models. Adhering to Dell's Design for the Environment program, both systems meet the requirements of the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive.

The Dell Precision M90 and Dell Precision M65 are available today worldwide. Prices for the Dell Precision M90 start at $2,239. The Dell precision M65 is priced from $1,849.
