CeBIT 2006: ASRock
And now a tour around the booth of ASRock CeBIT 2006. First, we'll take a look at motherboards for Intel processors.
On the photo you can see 775Twins-HDTV motherboard on ATI RADEON Xpress 200 (with integrated RADEON X300) + ULi 1573. It supports Intel LGA 775 processors, including dual-core, 1066/800/533 MHz FSB, DDR2-667 and DDR400 (2 sockets for each type, 4GB max.) Also onboard is Serial ATA (1.5Gbps; RAID 0, 1, 10, JBOD), 7.1-channel Realtek ALC850, 1 x PCI Express x16, 1 x PCI Express x1, 2 x PCI, 1 x AMR. The "HDTV" in the motherboard name points at a component video output.
Despite a similar name, 775Twins-PCIE utilizes another chipset - VIA PT890. It supports both AGP and PCI Express, but in this case the vendor chose the latter. The novelty supports 1066/800/533MHz FSB, DDR2 (2 sockets, 4GB max.) and DDR (2 sockets, 2GB max.) The expansion slots are 1 x PCI Express x16 and 3 x PCI. There are also 2 x Serial ATA (RAID 0, 1, JBOD) and 2 x Parallel ATA. The motherboard supports Windows Vista.
Intel platform is also introduced by the 775Dual-880Pro motherboard on VIA PT880 Pro. Unlike the previous, this one features both AGP and PCI Express. The motherboard works with 1066/800/533 MHz FSB and DDR2/DDR memory.
775Xfire-eSATA2 bases on Intel 945PL + ICH7R. And even its name points at ATI CrossFire support. The second graphics card is installed into an AGI Express port compatible with PCI Express x16, but providing x4 performance. The board supports 800/533 MHz FSB, up to 4 x DDR2-533 modules in the dual-channel mode. Onboard are 4 x Serial ATAII (3Gbps) ports with RAID 0/1/10/5 and a 5.1-channel audio codec. This one supports Windows Vista as well.
775i915P-SATA2 works with Intel Pentium 4/Celeron D processors, being based on Intel 915P. It has 4 sockets for DDR2 memory and 2 sockets for DDR modules. The board supports ATI CrossFire, but has a single PCI Express x16 slot (the second card goes to the AGI Express slot). The board can handle up to 4 x Serial ATA devices and the only Serial ATAII interface bases on JMicron JMB 360. 775i915P-SATA2 has 7.1-channel audio.
