VaccineDrive: A Flash Drive With An Anti-Virus
Korean IOCELL introduced the first flash-based storage device with an embedded anti-virus - VaccineDrive. The data stored on the novelty is said to be protected not only from viruses, but also spyware, adware and other malware.
The anti-virus software is installed onto a hidden partition. It automatically updates its databases from the Web.
VaccineDrive capacity ranges from 128MB to 2GB. Of course, one can check for viruses not only the flash drive itself, but also connected hard disks, etc. The vendor guarantees this software will not conflict with other anti-virus programs.
