WinFast 761GXK8MB-KRS And 761GXK8MC-RS Feature SiS761GX PCI-E Chipset
SiS announced today that Foxconn will use new SiS761GX chipsets, which support PCI Express graphics interface, for two of its WinFast motherboards, the 761GXK8MB-EKRS and 761GXK8MC-ERS.
Both WinFast 761GXK8MB-EKRS and 761GXK8MC-ERS will feature the embedded Mirage 1 Graphic Engine and support a wide range of AMD platforms, including the Athlon 64 X2, Athlon 64, Athlon 64 FX, AMD Sempron, and Opteron. Backed by the AMD64 platform's Cool’n’Quiet Technology, the SiS761GX can regulate CPU speeds and frequencies. The SiS761GX also supports the AMD HyperTransport Technology (up to 8GB/sec (2000MT/s)).
The WinFast 761GXK8MB-EKRS is equipped with SiS965 Southbridge chipset, and the 761GXK8MC-ERS is equipped with SiS964 Southbridge chipset. At that, SiS965 brings an extra Ethernet controller and PCI Express x1 interface.
