IBM Unveils New Cost-Effective Workgroup Printers
IBM Printing Systems Division today announced two new workgroup printers: Infoprint 1512 and Infoprint Color 1534.
Infoprint 1512 has a small footprint and meant for small businesses and small groups of employees. It provides print speed of up to 30 pages per minute letter size and up to 28 pages per minute A4. It also has an easy-to-use, intuitive operator interface.
The network model Infoprint 1512 has a resident Web page, which can be accessed from a browser. The Web page features an on demand status window, and it can report printer and supplies status. It can also e-mail status alerts and printing statistics. This management tool also provides a "mirror" of the messages that wait at the printer on the operator panel.
Infoprint Color 1534 is a color laser printer with advanced toner formulas, wireless connectivity, and a standard ImageQuick function that allows forms and critical documents to be stored on a Web site or server and then printed when needed—on demand.
The Infoprint 1534 also offers improved security features that can integrate with existing networks to help increase document confidentiality and device security. Confidential access to sensitive documents can be implemented through new secure print features that can "hold" the document on the device until the end user enters a personal identification number (PIN). Higher levels of security can also be obtained through optional authentication and encryption features.
In USA the prices for Infoprint 1512 start from $432, for Infoprint 1534 - from $737.
