Photo Of The Day: ATI R520 In Our Lab

As you know, yesterday ATI launched a new family of graphics processors, the Radeon X1000 family, built using the 90nm fabrication technology.

The new family has a GPU for every target group there is: Radeon X1800 for enthusiasts, Radeon X1600 for newbie gamers, and Radeon X1300 for those low on budget.

Each of the new graphics processors features ultra-threaded shader architecture, new memory architecture, improved 3D image quality, Avivo technology (improves display quality and refines video playback).

Radeon X1800 and Radeon X1300 cards are shipping immediately, with additional Radeon X1800 configurations and Radeon X1600 cards shipping later in October and November.

So, in our lab we are already testing X1800XT, X1800XL and other novelties, so an article will soon be published (stay tuned ;).

While we test, you can start with familiarizing yourself with the architecture of the new GPU family.
