ASUS Presents Extreme AX800 Silencer PCIe Graphics Card, SilentCool Technology

ASUS yesterday introduced the Extreme AX800 Silencer graphics card powered by ATi RADEON X800 PCI Express GPU and featuring ASUS´ new fanless SilentCool Technology.

The latter implies a large heatsink, hidden copper heatpipe and stacked copper fins, which are positioned on a joint design, which enables the fins to rotate 90 degrees. Depending on the locations of critical components such as the CPU, mosfets or capacitors etc., users can rotate the fins away from these areas for optimal heat dissipation.

The list of innovations goes beyond cooling and also includes the Splendid Video Intelligence Technology (detects activation and usage of video applications and automatically optimizes image quality; provides five presets: Standard, Game, Theater, Scenery and Night); GameFace Messenger (an online messenger for gamers); GameLiveShow (allows gamers to stream broadcast their gaming experiences live over the Internet); ASUS GameReplay (records gaming action into MPEG4 video files).

The package also includes Project SnowBlind and Xpand Rally games. The ASUS Extreme AX800 Silencer card is already available.

Model Name EAX800 Silencer/2D TV/256M
