Matrox Announces A Low-Profile PCI Express x1 Graphics Card
Matrox Graphics, the manufacturer of graphics solutions for professional use, announced Matrox Millennium G550 LP PCIe, the low-profile PCI Express x1 graphics card with dual-display functionality for the financial, insurance, legal and general corporate use multi-display markets. Compatible with any compliant PCI Express slot (x1, x4, x8 and x16), this low-profile graphics card is designed to fit Small Form Factor (SFF) systems as well as full-size desktops.
The Millennium G550 LP PCIe is equipped with 32 MB of DDR memory and supports the maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It also offers multi-display features that include Matrox Clone and Matrox Multi-Display Zoom in addition to resolution support for Stretched and Independent desktop mode.
The Millennium G550 LP PCIe is supported by unified and WHQL-certified drivers. With the use of Matrox PowerDesk SE, a window management suite utility incorporated in the drivers, a financial or enterprise professional has the freedom to change display settings or access Matrox features effortlessly.
The Millennium G550 LP PCIe will be available in Q3 2005 at a list price of $169 USD. This product will be available from authorized resellers worldwide or, in North America and Europe, directly from Matrox.
