At Computex 2005 XGI Technology showcases new Volari 8300 (XG47) graphics cards.
These entry-level desktop and mobile solutions have native PCI-Express interface, support 64-bit DRAM and eXtreme Cache technology (uses PC RAM for frame buffer needs), DirectX 9.0, Shader Model 2 and TV encoding. Cards have DVI, D-Sub, HDTV and S-Video outputs. For notebooks Volari 8300 will be packaged into MXM type 1 form-factor.
The new GPU will be made using 0.13µ process. Dell and Toshiba already decided to use these solutions in their notebooks.
