Intel unveils 4 new processors
Today Intel also unveiled the new processors for the Pentium D series: 840, 830 and 820 (3.2GHz, 3.0GHz and 2.8GHz). All are made using 90nm process for LGA775 socket, have 1MB L2 per core and 800MHz FSB. HT is not supported.
The company also released Pentium 4 HT 670 (3.8GHz) CPU: 90nm process, LGA775, 2MB L2, 800MHz FSB, Intel Virtualization Technology.
All 4 novelties support EM64T, Enhanced SpeedStep, Execute Disable Bit.
Prices recommended by the vendor are:
- Pentium 4 670 – $851
- Pentium D 840 – $530
- Pentium D 830 – $316
- Pentium D 820 – $241
Now we can just wait until the wave of new machines on these CPUs storms the middle-end market.
