Leadtek unveils WinFast PX6800Ultra TDH 512MB
As you remember, the announcement of ATI Radeon X800XL graphics card with 512MB onboard caused a whole wave of releases based on X800XL/X850 with the same amount of memory. Now NVIDIA-based vendors are catching up. While BFG mentioned its 512MB card even before the aforementioned release from ATI, Leadtek decided to make its turn now, when the hype around ATI products began to calm down.
WinFast PX6800Ultra TDH 512MB goes on sale tomorrow, May 27, priced as "cheap" as ¥99,750 ($920!). It supports PCI Express x16 interface, API DirectX 9.x/OpenGL 1.5 and NVIDIA SLI.
The GPU clock rate is 400MHz, while 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 operates at 1,050MHz. The latter value is 50MHz lower than that of a similar 256MB card. The throughput is thus reduced from 35.2GB/s to 33.6GB/s.
Interfaces include 2 x DVI-I, 1 x S-Video. The bundle includes DVI-VGA adapter.
