Introducing Elbarus, the ultimate Russian CPU
We obtained information that in a just a few days the world will see the new central processing unit developed exclusively by Russian minds and codenamed "Elbarus".
Into Elbarus the developers have implemented the much talked about dual-core architecture compatible with all up-to-date 32-bit and 64-bit microcode from Intel and AMD. The novelty is undoubtedly unique because one core of it fully supports Pentium 4 architecture, while another works perfectly with that of Athlon. As a result, the processor will be produced for both LGA775 and Socket 754/Socket 939 platforms, specific interfaces selectable by a wholesale customer.
The CPU has a special "rail to" bridge that determines what core to handle the code with. Operating systems recognize Elbarus as Pentium 4 EE and Athlon 64 FX at the same time.
The exclusive novelty will go on sale next month with the top rating of +PX4000, but the clock rate information is yet to leak.
