I-O DATA to sell 400GB external HDD with a USB 2.0 hub in April
Today I-O DATA informed that the new 400GB external hard drive with a USB2.0 hub (model name "UDH-UEH400") will go on sale in mid-April with MSRP of ¥50,085.
The 7,200rpm novelty works under OS Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 9.1x 9.2x, Mac OS X 10.1 10.3.8. As already mentioned, the drive has USB2.0 hub (ports on the front and rear) and IEEE1394 interface. In addition, the device supports iSPIS security function which locks the drive and encrypts data if needed. This feature works under Windows 2000/XP.
Drive is sized 45x193.9x170.9mm and weighs 1.36kg. The package includes 1m USB cable, 1m IEEE1394 cable, rubber foot, software CD-ROM, etc.
