Cebit 2005: S3 Graphics´s GammaChrome, OmniChrome, and Eden-based servers
We continue our Cebit 2005 report. Now have a look at the new products from S3 Graphics.
First of all, here are the GammaChrome PCI-Express graphics (see features on the slides below). As you can see, the company positions these novelties against mid-end ATI RADEON X600 XT and such. 3Dmark05 results are rather good, but will the novelties perform the same in games? Well, it´s a matter of time. The reference card looks good as well, but I still think the PCB design is too expensive.
