Cebit 2005: Gigabyte´s booth
Alexander Vorobiev sent us a new photo gallery from the booth of Gigabyte.
First, all top-end boards of the company will now be named "Royal". On the photo you can see a novelty on i955 chipset (codename Lakeport).
Then there´s a Pro-series board that is more humble than Royal, but still has SATAII and most value-added features.
A motherboard on i945P (Glenwood) + ICH7R.
915P-based board with "almost a SLI" configuration as actually one PCI Express slot works as x4, while only the second works as x16. Besides, the SLI mode itself is enabled from Gigabyte´s drivers (SLI performance naturally drops down to x4.) It´s interesting how NVIDIA will react to such a solution according to Alexander, the company considers such products as "discrediting the idea of SLI".
nForce 4 SLI for Intel
BTX solution
VIA PT880Pro/8232R based motherboard.
Athlon FX solution on ATI RS480 + ULi M1573.
K8T890/8237R based motherboard.
Inexpensive internal router.
A value home WLAN solution going on sale this summer.
The new cooling system.
A unique cooler that can be installed at any angle to CPU socket.
