CeBIT 2005: Siemens´s new mobile quartet: SXG75, CX75, CL75 and M75
At CeBIT 2005 Siemens unveiled four new mobile handsets at once: SXG75, CX75, CL75 and M75. Actually, even before the 3GSM World Congress rumours were that these novelties will be introduced exactly at CeBIT, as Siemens had been using the geographical comfort, so to say, before as well.
Sized 111.5x53x20mm at 134g weight Siemens SXG75 works in UMTS and 900/1800/1900MHz GSM bands, supports GPRS Class 10. The handset has 2.2" TFT LCD of 240x320 resolution and 262K colors, 2-megapixel digital still camera and a CIF (352x288) video conferencing camera. Besides, SXG75 features GPS/A-GPS receiver, MP3 player and RDS FM radio, IrDA, Bluetooth, and can be synchronized with PC over USB. Of built-in 128MB memory 64MB is free for use as well as the RS MultiMediaCard (RS MMC) slot. Work time is said to be 16 days standby and 5-6 hours of talking in GSM/UMTS networks.
Siemens SXG75 is to go on sale in September for the price yet unknown.
Mid-end Siemens CX75 is designed for mobile entertainment. It works in 900/1800/1900MHz GSM networks, supports GPRS Class 10, has 1.3-megapixel camera, 132x176 TFT LCD (262K colors as well), video player, MP3/AAC(+) player and 3D games. Sized 110x47.7x18.9mm, it weighs 98g. The phone is said to work up to 10 days in standby mode and up to 5 hours in active mode. CX75 has 14MB memory and an RS-MMC slot.
Judging by its appearance, Siemens CL75 is naturally meant for women. Its dimensions are 87x44x23mm at 90g weight. 9 days of standby, 3 hours of talking. The cell phone also works in 900/1800/1900MHz GSM networks and supports GPRS Class 10, SMS, MMS, WAP 2.0. The primary TFT LCD has resolution of 128x160 @ 262K colors and can be used as a mirror. The external CSTN display has resolution of 96x64 and 65K colors and can also be used as a mirror. Other features include VGA camera with 4x digital zoom, 11MB of memory and IrDA port.
Finally, the "off-highway" Siemens M75 is damp and dust proof according to IP54 requirements. Sized 110x52x20mm, it weighs 110g and features 1.3-megapixel camera with a flash light, MP3/AAC player. Phone´s TFT LCD display works at 132x176 resolution and supports 262K colors. MMS, email, 3D games and Bluetooth are also supported. Besides, for this novelty you will be able to buy the Mobile Music Set IMS-700 providing audio output to active Hi-Fi stereo speakers. The mobile handset is bundled with a 32MB memory card.
