VIA updates Luke CoreFusion platform
Two years after the announcement of Mark CoreFusion platform at CeBIT 2003, VIA, at Embedded System Conference, introduced the updatd platform named Luke CoreFusion Processing Platform. It´s interesting that VIA names its platforms after Evangelists according to their order in the New Testament.
Luke CoreFusion supports x86-compatible processors with clock rates up to 1GHz, hardware security features, MPEG-2/4 acceleration, LVDS, DVI and TV interfaces.
The platform bases on VIA Eden-N chipset with CN400 Northbridge, has integrated S3 Graphics UniChrome Pro core (2D/3D AGP8x), and supports DDR333/400 memory. The range of Southbridges include VT8235M, VT8237R and VT8251 (PCI Express).
