I-O Data HDZ-UE1.0TS: the new terabyte-capacity storage
It seems terabyte-capacity storage solutions are starting to spread in the more or less mainstream market inspite of their price. This time Japanese I-O Data unveiled its new external hard drive based solution, HDZ-UE1.0TS, expected to go on sale early in February for about $1000.
The device has USB 2.0 and IEEE1394 interfaces. As you might have already guessed the casing conceals 4 x 250GB hard drives cooled by a fab powered over USB.
Features include diagnostics, fan and HDDs noise adjustments, EasySaver LE and DiskRefresher LE backup tools. Sized 136x266x131 mm, HDZ-UE1.0TS weighs 4 kg.
