TwinMOS TwiSTER Pro DDR400: another intermediate step on the way to DDR2
TwinMOS decided not to rush in the transition from DDR to DDR2 SDRAM and expanded the series of good old DDR400 SDRAM with TwiSTER Pro DDR400 positioned for overclockers.

TwinMOS novelties offer 256 and 512 MB capacities. They are based on Samsung chips and support CL2-2-2-5 timings at VDIMM 2.6±0.2 V. If you remember, PC3200 HyperX Kingston modules for the similar market niche support only CL2-2-2-6, but these were announced as far back as in March 2003.
TwiSTER Pro DDR400 dual-bank modules support simultaneous or independent access and 133/166/200 MHz clock rates. Novelties are offered in 512 MB (2 x 256 MB) and 1,024 MB (2 x 512 MB) kits. Judging by the fact that TwiSTER Pro solutions entered Top 3 of brands at NOVA 2004 Channel Award, the Taiwanese company will be offering them for a long time.
Besides, as you remember, the company has plans to expand the TwiSTER series with newer-generation modules: DDR2 SDRAM TwiSTER solutions were said to pass certification for 533 MHz clock rate at 1.8-2.5 V voltages.
