Dimension XPS Gen4: extreme gaming from Dell
According to the Japanese sources, Dell launched sales of its new Dimension XPS Gen4 systems with motherboards on 925XE Express chipsets. Dimension XPS Gen4 supports up to 4 GB RAM, 1.2 TB HDD storage, Pentium 4 Extreme Edition and Pentium 4 550-570 processors (3.4 to 3.8 GHz) and also feature RADEON X800 XT or GeForce 6800 cards with 256 MB RAM.

The basic configuration includes: Pentium 4 550 (3.4 GHz), 512 MB RAM, 160 GB HDD, DVD-ROM/CD-RW, GeForce 6800 graphics. Together with pre-installed Windows XP Home Edition Dimension XPS Gen4 costs ¥223,650 ($2150). With Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.46 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD space, DVD±R/RW and RADEON X800 XT the system costs ¥443,100 (over $4200).
Other features of Dimension XPS Gen4 include Sound Blaster Audigy 2 sound, 8 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x IEEE1394 port, Gigabit Ethernet, 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, 1 x PCI Express x1 slot and 4 x PCI slots. Sized 222x488x491 mm, the novelty weigh about 19 kg.
