RS480M2 and RX480M2: two Xpress 200 motherboards from MSI
As we already wrote, two days ago ATI introduced Xpress 200 chipset series alongside MSI´s MS7093 motherboard on the new chipset (with Uli M1573 Southbridge).
With a press release MSI officially announced two more Xpress 200 boards: RS480M2 and RX480M2.
RS480M2 supports Socket 939 of AMD Athlon 64 / Athlon 64 FX processors, PCI Express x16 interface, 1 GHz HyperTransport bus and dual-channel DDR400. It also features ATI X300 graphics core.
The second board, MSI RX480M2 doesn´t have graphics core being based on discrete Xpress 200P.
Both mobos feature ATI SB400 Southbridge supporting SATA RAID 0, 1, 0+1 (4 x SATA ports). Finally, both novelties support Live Update 3 feature (Live BIOS, Live Drive, Live VGA BIOS and Live Utility).
