SanDisk also introduces new CF and PC Card media at Electronica 2004
Besides industrial Secure Digital and TransFlash novelties, at Electronica 2004 SanDisk also introduced 4 GB and 8 GB industrial Compact Flash cards as well as 8 GB and 16 GB PC Card media.
256 MB and higher-capacity cards provide throughputs up to 20 MB/s. CF and PC Card media are naturally able to work in extended temperature range, have prolonged MTBF (up to 3 million vs. 1 million of usual cards), and can withstand harder shocks (30 g vibration, 3000 g impact resistance).
Other features are identical to those of usual cards:
- 3.3±10% V, 5±10% V
- Standby current: 1 mA (3.3V), 1.2 mA (5V; over 1.5 GB cards)
- Read current: 50 mA (3.3V), 55 mA (5V)
- Write current: 65 mA (3.3V), 70 mA (5V)
According to the press release, new solutions will be available in this December for the yet negotiated price.
