ASRock combines again: K8 Combo-Z with Socket 754 and 939
ASRock continues to develop its dual-socket concepts and seems to be going to earn much in industry´s intermediate period. The novelty is K8 Combo-Z ATX board supporting AMD Sempron (Socket 754) and Athlon 64 / Athlon 64 FX (Socket 939).
The board bases on ULi(ALi) M1689 chipset, provides 1 memory channel for Sempron (two sockets available) and 2 channels for Athlon 64 (three sockets available). The board supports up to 2GB RAM and, besides standard IDE ATA133/100, supports SATA (RAID 0, 1, JBOD). According to the press release, the board has 8-channel Realtek 850 audio codec, AGP 8X/4X (1.5V), 10/100 Ethernet LAN, 3 x PCI (PCI 2.3). Hybrid Booster feature is supposed to provide safe overclocking (CPU multiplier, FSB adjust). More features include ASRock U-COP, Boot Failure Guard (B.F.G).
