IWILL introduces DNS motherboard series
IWILL announced a new series of server motherboards, DNS. It´s based on Intel E7520 (Lindenhurst) chipset for 800 MHz FSB dual-Xeon configurations.
DNS EATX boards have 8-layer PCBs, they support IPMI 1.5 and have integrated 8MB ATI Rage XL GFX graphics, dual-channel DDR333/266 controllers (up to 16 GB registered, with or without ECC), dual-port Broadcom PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet.
DNS boards feature ICH5 Southbridge supporting 2 x SATA and 8 x USB 2.0.
The press release mentiones IWILL DNS-SATA and IWILL DNS-L boards. DNS-SATA has Adaptec ZCR RAID5, Serial ATAII (8 x S-ATAII) and supports RAID0, 1, 0+1. Expansions slots include PCI Express x8, PCI Express x4, PCI-X 64-bit/133 MHz, PCI-X 64-bit/100 MHz and Riser Interface. DNS-SATA is meant for rackmount servers.
IWILL DNS-L is an entry-level board with only PCI Express x8 + Riser Interface and PCI Express x4. All DNS boards are shipped with 2 x EPS12V PSU connectors for various rackmounts.
