Sony adds 2GB products to Pocket Bit USB
Sony added a new product to its Pocket Bit USB series 2GB miniature hard disk. The novelty is larger than a usual USB dongle, 73x50x13mm, and has a "hideable" connector.

Because of the very simple backup method (just press AutoSync), it´s not clear to whom the device is positioned. Though sometimes, this might come in handy and you won´t need any special software. The device supports incremental backup up to 10 copies.
All there´s to do is to wait for test results to be assured the novelty is really worth $316 (in Japan). For sale it is to go in July.

Another interesting solution is a usual USB dongle with a fingerprint sensor. The software secures system access when there´s a screensaver active and stores up to 10 fingerprint and password accounts. Sized 20x7x61mm, it weighs about 8.5g. I guess the competing companies will announce similar devices soon as well.
