Computex 2004: XGI unveils Volari PCIE
At Computex Taipei 2004 XGI Technology unveiled the new Volari graphics card family. Similar to ATI and NVIDIA products, the new Volari generation supports PCI Express and HDTV.
Volari PCIE features:
- TruShader 2.1 hardware shaders
- BroadBahn memory architecture
- ColorAmp Engine (image optimization depending on display type)
- Cipher video processor (HDTV 1020i, 720p)
If you remember, XGI Volari Duo V8 Ultra high-end products feature two GPU cores, but the PCI Express series will also include middle and low-end solutions (Volari V3XT).
