Kingmax introduces RS-MMC, miniSD and HS-MMC media
Kingmax introduced new 512MB RS-MMC and miniSD media designed due to low power consumption for new-generation mobile handsets. Packaged into proprietary PIP package, novelties feature the following:

RS-MMC:
- 2.5MB/s throughput
- 18x24x1.4mm size
- 2.7-3.6V voltage
- 7-pin package

miniSD:
- Meet SDMI requirements
- 12.5MB/s throughput
- 21.5x20x1.4mm size
- 11-pin package
But one of the most interesting solutions are HS-MMC (High-Speed MultiMedia Card) media that meet specs of Multimedia Card Association (MMCA). Cards will be showcased at Computex, so now we can just state some technical details:
- Theoretical peak throughput of 52MB/s
- 24x32x1.4mm size
- 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 MB capacities
- 1.8/3.3V voltage
- 13-pin package
As usual, new media is designed for digital still cameras, mobile phones, PDAs, notebooks, etc.
