Sony introduces HDPS-M1 for data storage
Sony announced the new data storage solution primarily for digital photographers, HDPS-M1, that will go on sale on June 18. The device combines flash card reader with a hard drive (2.5" 40GB).
The device is naturally "specialized" for Sony flash media, including Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro Duo, and also for CF (Type I/II/Microdrive). But theoretically CF slot enables support for other card types via respective adapters.
Sized 135x92x30mm, the novelty weighs 300g. It powers from both Li-Ion battery and AC adapter. The battery provides 1 hour of operation and requires 4 hours to charge.
